A number of years ago, I was given a pair of lead crystal glasses as a Valentine’s Day present. They’re gorgeous. They ooze quality with their weight and the reassuring ching when you tap them with a fingernail.
There’s something delightful about holding one of them while sipping a single malt whiskey or a vodka and coke.
I treasure them and I would probably cry if one got broken or chipped. And that’s why I don’t let anyone else wash them or put them away.
They’re even great items to look at, and just recently, I’ve found that they reflect light beautifully.
These are my favourite entries from other photographers, on the same theme.
