The NATO aircraft display was watched by thousands of people across Cardiff and Newport; the first jets passing Cardiff Bay at 9am before heading east towards Newport.

In Newport, spectators gathered on the Millennium Footbridge, at Spytty Park, Beechwood Park and Lliswerry.

Hundreds of people lined the grass verges of Chepstow Road in Langstone to obtain a great view of the Celtic Manor and the NATO aircraft fly past. The crowd was a mixture of young and old with many aiming their cameras and phones towards the sky.
